Link Needs a Foster or Adopter to Secure His Ride to Wisconsin
Link is currently in a kill shelter in Alabama and needs a FOSTER or ADOPTER to secure his spot on transport to Cedarburg, WI with Mutt Life Dog Rescue. His transport date is still TBD, but we are hoping to bring him to Wisconsin once he has a committed home waiting for him.
Meet Link
Link is a sweet Lab mix who was rescued after being found abandoned and tied to a bridge with his brother, Bink, and two other dogs. When they were found, they were emaciated and mostly hairless. With good nutrition, care, and plenty of love, Link has flourished and is now ready for a fresh start and a family of his own.
Link is a loving boy who adores people and enjoys being around his humans. He is dog friendly, cat friendly, and kid friendly, making him a great fit for many different types of homes. He is affectionate, leash trained, and even likes baths!
Link and Bink have been through a lot together, but they do not necessarily need to be adopted together. Link is ready to find his own family where he can continue to grow, thrive, and experience all the love and attention he deserves.
Link is completely vetted, neutered, and heartworm negative. He was tested for heartworm in July 2026.

ADOPTION PROCESS:
1.) Apply: Fill out adoption application completely and submit all necessary documents.
2.)Application Decision: approved applicants will be notified via phone call and email.
3.)Foster-to-Adopt Trial Period: after approval, you have the opportunity to do a meet and greet and bring your dog home! You get a 5 day foster-to-adopt (FTA) period to make sure it's the right fit.
4.) Final Decision: By the end of the FTA period, please let us know your final decision to adopt or return the dog to our rescue.
5.) Home Visit: After the adoption process we conduct a home visit either in person or via zoom meeting to ensure that everything is going well with the transition and to answer any final questions you may have.
6.) Neuter/spay for puppies: for dogs who are not fixed at the time of adoption, we will reimburse $125 for the procedure once we receive proof of spay/neuter. We recommend going to HAWS Snip Clinic in Waukesha, WI or Wisconsin Community Veterinarian Center in Madison, WI for the most affordable option. If you would like to go through your veterinarian or another location, that works too!
**Note: Adoptions are not considered final until the dog is neutered/spayed if applicable**
