Fawn Needs a Foster or Adopter by August 15 to Secure Her Ride to Wisconsin
Fawn is currently in a high-intake kill shelter in Georgia after being found as a stray. She needs a foster or adopter to secure her spot on Mutt Life Dog Rescue's transport to Cedarburg, Wisconsin on Saturday, August 15. A committed home is required for her to make the trip, and we're hoping someone will give this adorable girl the loving home she deserves.
Meet Fawn
Fawn is an 8-10-month-old Lab/Aussie mix (breed is our best guess!) with a beautiful face, an always-happy attitude, and just the right amount of puppy energy. She was found as a stray, but you would never know it from her cheerful personality.
This sweet girl is always ready for fun. Whether she's playing, exploring, or making new friends, Fawn approaches life with a wagging tail and a smile. She has that classic Lab/Aussie enthusiasm—active enough to enjoy adventures and playtime, but just as happy to relax with her people after a busy day.
At around 30 pounds, Fawn is a wonderful medium size and is still growing into the amazing dog she's going to become. She's at a great age to continue learning, bonding with her new family, and developing into a loyal lifelong companion.

ADOPTION PROCESS:
1.) Apply: Fill out adoption application completely and submit all necessary documents.
2.)Application Decision: approved applicants will be notified via phone call and email.
3.)Foster-to-Adopt Trial Period: after approval, you have the opportunity to do a meet and greet and bring your dog home! You get a 5 day foster-to-adopt (FTA) period to make sure it's the right fit.
4.) Final Decision: By the end of the FTA period, please let us know your final decision to adopt or return the dog to our rescue.
5.) Home Visit: After the adoption process we conduct a home visit either in person or via zoom meeting to ensure that everything is going well with the transition and to answer any final questions you may have.
6.) Neuter/spay for puppies: for dogs who are not fixed at the time of adoption, we will reimburse $125 for the procedure once we receive proof of spay/neuter. We recommend going to HAWS Snip Clinic in Waukesha, WI or Wisconsin Community Veterinarian Center in Madison, WI for the most affordable option. If you would like to go through your veterinarian or another location, that works too!
**Note: Adoptions are not considered final until the dog is neutered/spayed if applicable**
