Bloom is a loving, laid back 8 week old lab/terrier mix pup that weighs 7 lbs. She is estimated to be around 45 lbs when she is fully grown. With her easygoing personality, playful spirit, and affectionate nature, Bloom is truly the total package. She’s the kind of puppy who seamlessly fits into just about any environment because she’s happiest simply being included in whatever her people are doing. Bloom is the life of the party and brings joy everywhere she goes. She has an incredibly social and outgoing personality, and she absolutely adores meeting new people. Whether she’s greeting someone with her wagging tail, covering them in sweet puppy kisses, or bouncing around excitedly looking for a new friend, Bloom makes an impression on everyone she meets.  One of Bloom’s best qualities is how adaptable she is. If you’re in the mood to play, she’s right there beside you ready to have fun. If your ideal evening involves relaxing on the couch with a blanket and a movie, Bloom is equally happy curling up beside you for snuggles and naps. She truly embodies a “go with the flow” personality and adjusts beautifully to the energy around her. Bloom also has an independent side that makes her especially wonderful for someone who works from home or spends a lot of time at home during the day. While she loves affection and companionship, she doesn’t demand constant attention or entertainment. She’s excellent at self-entertaining and happily keeps herself busy tossing around her toys, chewing on bones, or sprawling out on a dog bed nearby while her humans work or relax. She simply loves being in the same room as her people and is content just hanging out close by. As playful as she is, Bloom is equally affectionate and cuddly. She adores being held, snuggled, and loved on every chance she gets. When she’s sleepy, she’ll happily climb right into your lap for belly rubs before drifting off into a cozy nap. One of her sweetest little quirks is that she gently presses her forehead against your mouth so you can shower her with forehead kisses — and then she lovingly returns the favor with soft puppy kisses of her own. It’s impossible not to fall completely in love with her tender, affectionate personality. Bloom’s ideal home would be with a family or person who enjoys a balance of activity and relaxation. As she grows, she would love going on hikes, walks, outdoor adventures, and fun outings, but she’ll be just as excited to come home afterward and spend the evening cuddled up on the couch beside her favorite humans. She’s the perfect combination of playful companion, adventure buddy, and loving cuddle bug, and she’s ready to bring endless joy, laughter, and love to the lucky family who adopts her.

Bloom is low to medium energy, and is a perfect mix of active and laid back. As she gets older, her energy level will likely increase. She has a naturally confident and curious temperament, making her the perfect future adventure buddy for a family who wants a dog they can bring along for public outings, patio days, walks around town, weekend trips, and outdoor fun. As she gets older, she will be perfectly content going on short leisurely walks around the neighborhood and have a few short play sessions in the backyard. If you want to go on longer hikes and playing at the beach, she will be happy to join too. She matches her human's energy, so if you want to cuddle up on the couch for a movie night, Bloom will be snoozing around right beside you. She loves to explore the outdoors and would be the perfect pup for someone who enjoys hiking through the mountains. She also enjoys activities that give her a bit of mental stimulation, so puzzle games and treat dispensing toys that she can work on to win the main prize, some yummy dog treats, are a necessity in her forever home. Her ideal home will have a toy box full of squeaky toys, ropes, and chew toys, and she’d be thrilled to have a BarkBox subscription to keep the fun going with new surprises every month, especially now that she is about to start teething.

Bloom is dog, cat, and kid friendly. She is currently in a foster home with other dogs and her own siblings, and she loves other dogs. When it comes to making doggy friends, Bloom has never met a stranger. She absolutely loves canine companionship and is always ready to play, wrestle, and make new friends. Her playful, friendly demeanor would make her a wonderful addition to a home with another playful dog, though she would also thrive as the center of attention in a home where she gets plenty of love and interaction. If she is the only dog in the home, she would benefit from having frequent play dates with doggy friends or go to doggy day care a couple times a week so she continues having positive interactions with other dogs as she grows up. Bloom  would love to have kids in the home that she can play fetch and cuddle with. She is very sweet and gentle, but can knock over a young child or toddler who is learning how to walk due to her happy wiggle butt. She is very loving, sweet, and loves to be cuddled and loved on, so the more people to give her affection, the better. Because of her young age and how gentle she is, she would be able to join a family that has a cat in the home. Since she is a silly, playful puppy, she would do best with dog-friendly cats that have lived with dogs before as she is a puppy and will want to play with them. Bloom would do well with kids of all ages. She loves to play, cuddle, and share her sweet puppy kisses with everyone she meets. She is very gentle and sweet, and would be perfect for a family with kids of any age. She is going to start teething soon, so her humans will need to keep a watchful eye on her to make sure she doesn't chew on human kid toys laying around.

Bloom is currently working on kennel training, potty training and leash training. She sleeps in a playpen at night with no fuss and will be transitioning to a kennel now that she's able to go longer at night between potty breaks. When she gets older, she would really love to snuggle up in bed with her humans every night so she can get in as many cuddles as possible though. She loves to go on outings in her doggy stroller and also likes to be carried in a doggy pouch though, so while she is still little, she can be taken on fun outings until she masters leash training. She will need additional practice to perfect her leash walking skills in her forever home. She is doing well with potty pad training and will use a potty pad if she needs to go. She has started transitioning to going potty outside, but does not know how to alert her foster mom yet. It is recommended to use a doggy door bell by the back door to help her learn how to notify you when she needs to go outside. She does need a consistent schedule and be taken out every few hours, so she will need someone who either works from home or that can come home on lunch breaks to let her out consistently.

Bloom's ideal home would be one where she can be included in her family’s daily life and get plenty of love, exercise, and attention. She would love to live in a home with a fenced yard to run and play in, but she’d also be perfectly content in an apartment, condo, or townhouse as long as she gets regular walks and playtime. She would thrive in a home with another playful, friendly dog and some kids to cuddle and play with. She's also the type of dog that can be completely happy being the "only child" and getting all her humans' love and affection to herself too. No public dog parks for this sweet girl because who wants to risk your pup catching a disease or being bullied on by other random dogs anyways. She would love to have fun adventures at Sniff Spots for playtime and exercise when she gets older if she does live in an apartment, condo, or townhouse without a private fenced-in yard. She would love if her h

Bloom is in a foster home in Central Texas. She can be adopted and transported to the following cities/states: https://www.loveandpuppypawsdogrescue.com/transport-locations

TRANSPORT: Currently we have monthly transports. It will be up to the adoptive family to meet the transport to pick up your new family member. Please be advised that our dogs are adopted to their forever families prior to being transported. Unfortunately at this time, we cannot bring dogs for a typical meet and greet situation, due to the extensiveness of the transport distance and it being unfair for the dogs who are not adopted to have to make the trip back.

Applications are reviewed in the order that they are received. To ensure we are honoring the dogs that we have committed to helping, we have policies and procedures in place that we follow when reviewing adoption applications. LAPP Dog Rescue is ran 100% by volunteers, so when you submit an application it can take a few days to be reviewed. Submitting an application is not a confirmation that the adoption will be approved/completed. Before submitting the application, please read the FULL description on PetFinder describing the dog's personality, energy level, housing requirements and our policy on meet and greets.

The cost to adopt is $850, which includes $400 adoption fee, a $250 transport fee, and a $200 REFUNDABLE spay deposit. The adoption fee includes all age appropriate vaccinations, microchip, flea/tick/heartworm prevention, health certificate from a licensed veterinarian, plus any necessary vet care while in the rescue's care. The $200 refundable spay deposit will be paid directly to the adopter's vet before the spay appointment once she is old enough to undergo the procedure. The transport fee covers the transportation from Bloom's foster home to her forever home.
