Shelby (A142058) is a 1-year-old KBD x husky mix who weighed nearly 60 lbs at intake! 05/09/26 This sweet girl is Shelby! Shelby was brought to the shelter beause her family was moving into housing that would not permit them to keep her. Shelby was described as an outgoing, friendly and affectionate dog. If you are not familiar with Karelian Bear Dogs, we highly encourage researching the breed prior to adoption. Shelby has been known to have a high prey drive, so please keep this in mind if you have smaller animals or cats in the home. She was said to like to play with other dogs, and she was said to do well with children and babies. She will bark at strangers once she connects with her people. Shelby was said to be housebroken, but she has been known to get into the trash if given the opportunity.
