Leonard (A141457) is a 10-month-old Lab x Mastiff mix who weighed 67.5 pounds on intake! 04/21/26 Leonard is back at the shelter because he was not the right fit for his last home. He was a bit too interested in their female dog, and they felt it was unfair to her because he was constantly in her business. While in their care, he had no experience with smaller critters. He is a very rambunctious pup so please ensure you are making appropriate interactions with all new animals. Leonard was also said to jump on people and to not understand his size. This did result in him knocking over his adoptive owner and their small child on multiple occasions. With that said, we think Leonard would do best in a home without children under 12 to avoid accidental knockovers. He would also benefit from attending a basic obedience class with a certified trainer to continue working on his manners. He is a young boy looking for some guidance and continued patience. Leonard was said to be housebroken and about 75% kennel trained. He was said to love his chew toys and is looking for a home that can provide him with an enriched life. His finder did state that he was a very vocal boy and that he liked to chew on things. Providing him with plenty of mental and physical stimulation is important in keeping Leonard happy, healthy, and out of trouble! We do not know if he has experience with other animals or children. Please ensure you are making appropriate introductions with all new potential friends. Leonard is quite rambunctious which is not always well received.
