Meet Estel! This bright, playful girl comes all the way from Azerbaijan, a former Soviet republic where many animals are left to survive harsh conditions without protection or care. We rescue them and fly them to Canada so they can finally experience safety, love, and the bright future they deserve.

Estel's story is a truly heart breaking one. She was attacked by locals. She posed no threat to anyone, this small, quiet, and timid girl only ever tried to run away from those who approached her. But they found her anyway, and made sure she felt pain and fear beyond imagination.

When rescuers discovered Estel, she was hiding motionless in a pile of garbage, too terrified to move. Her fragile body told the story of prolonged suffering: old fractures in her legs, fresh wounds from the latest attack, and injuries so severe that one of her eyes was bulging from repeated blows. Her ear was so infected that the canal is no longer visible.

Estel has been through unimaginable suffering no being should ever have to endure. For this little girl to be able to trust humans after what she's been through shows that she truly is a sweet, loving and resilient soul.

Estel is 3 years old and 22 lbs. She is as smart as she is lovable. She’s truly a home dog at heart, comfortable indoors, well-mannered, and even toilet trained. She settles in beautifully and enjoys being part of the daily rhythm of a home.

Playful and full of personality, Estel loves spending time with her friends. She gets along well with both dogs and cats, and especially enjoys playing with her buddies Lui and Sarah. She’s social but also thoughtful, she tends to choose her friends carefully and forms sweet, meaningful bonds.

Estel also has a naturally protective (in a non aggressive way at all) and attentive side. If something unusual catches her attention, she’s quick to let you know, she’s a little built-in alert system who likes to keep her people informed and safe.

With her intelligence, affectionate nature, and playful energy, Estel would thrive in a loving home where she can be both a companion and a little guardian angel. She’s the kind of dog who will make you smile every day while also being deeply devoted to her people.

Estel is spayed, vaccinated and microchipped.
