Meet Sugar! This sweet, affectionate girl is ready to leave her past behind and find a forever home where she can truly blossom.

Sugar’s story began in the most uncertain of places. She was rescued alongside her mom and four siblings shortly after they were born, huddled under a tree in the scorching Egyptian summer while locals threatened their lives. Thankfully, rescuers stepped in just in time, bringing all six dogs to safety. Since then, Sugar has grown up in the shelter, waiting patiently for her chance at a brighter future—and now, she has the opportunity to come to the U.S. and finally find the loving home she’s always deserved.

Sugar is a 1,5 y/o Baladi mix pup and weighs about 48 pounds. She has a wonderful medium energy level—she enjoys playtime and companionship but also loves to relax and soak up affection from her people. She gets along well with other dogs, is great with people and kids, and would make a beautiful addition to many types of families.

Sugar has a warm, loving personality and doesn’t need to be the only dog, she’d likely enjoy having a canine companion, but will be just as happy being your loyal best friend.

She is spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped, so she’s fully ready to begin her next chapter.

After everything she’s been through, Sugar deserves a home filled with love, comfort, and joy.
