Meet Leia!

She is estimated to be around 6 years old. Despite her younger age, she has spondylosis and osteoarthritis that severely impacts her day-to-day comfort. This is managed through pain medications she gets three times a day. When Leia is having a good pain day, she loves going out on long sniff-filled walks, running around in her yard playing fetch, or cuddling up with her chosen person for some belly rubs and kisses. On not-so-great pain days, she prefers to lay around and take it slow. Thankfully her flare-ups are not very common, so she's a happy girl most of the time.

Leia is not very good at sharing attention, so she needs to be the only pet in the home. We have tried communal living with her and other dogs, but it was not the best fit for her. Leia prefers to be the only spoiled princess of the house, and honestly? We love that for her.
