Howdy, partner! My name is Rusty, and I'm a handsome 2-year-old Hound and Boxer mix weighing in at about 70 pounds of love, loyalty, and charm.

If you're looking for a dog who wants to be your best friend, shadow, and adventure buddy all rolled into one, then look no further. While I enjoy a good walk and exploring the world with my people, my favorite place is wherever you are. Whether we're relaxing in the backyard, taking a stroll around the neighborhood, or settling in for a cozy evening on the couch, I'm happiest spending time with my family.

I'm the total package when it comes to manners. I'm fully potty trained, kennel trained, and walk nicely on a leash. As a proud graduate of the Pups for Parole program, I've learned lots of commands and skills, and I love showing off what I know. I'm smart, eager to please, and enjoy having a purpose.

One thing you should know about me: I absolutely adore people and do great with kids. I also enjoy cats and have done well sharing my home with feline friends. When it comes to other dogs, however, I'd prefer to have all of your attention to myself. Because I can be uncomfortable around other dogs, I'm looking for a home where I'm the only canine companion and where I won't be expected to visit dog parks or other busy dog-filled environments. Due to this I will need a house setting with a privacy fenced yard. Apartment setting or invisible fence systems will not be considered.
