Warren - Rottweiler and Black Labrador Retriever Dog for Adoption in Andover, Massachusetts

This dog is currently out of state but will be transported to New England shortly with no additional travel costs. The long distance adoption process includes talking to the foster they are living with in the south. Roughly 90% of our dogs are successfully long distance adopted and 10% adopted locally.

Meet Warren, a 12-week-old Rottweiler / Black Lab mix, weighing 18 pounds (as of 8/17/26). Poor Warren was given to a family's son only for their son to be disinterested. The family dumped him outside until a home health nurse saw him and brought him to us. Despite the rough start, Warren lives each day with a #winning attitude!

With a smile as bright as a sunny day, Warren is sure to make your blues go away. He's a fun, loving free-spirited little boy who's gonna have some size on him because of his breed. That just means more to love! He enjoys the water and would be great couch buddy or beach buddy or anything in between. Strangers will fall in love with this friendly and outgoing boy. He's lived with puppies and senior dogs (all smaller than him) and even dog-savvy cats! He hasn't met kids yet but he hopes they'll love him as he much as he'll love them.

Warren is still working on crate and leash training but is surprisingly potty trained! Talk about winning! Warren is looking for a family that won't dump him but will cherish him instead. Will it be yours? He hopes so!

All dogs are up to date on vaccinations and spayed/neutered at the time of adoption. All dogs require professional training to become the best family member they can be.

It is most likely that both their parents were strays and even if not, mixes of some sort and that their grandparents were mixes as well. The dog may have some genetic material of an American Staffordshire Terrier (pit bull). The dogs are usually mixes of many breeds, making them a breed all their own - a True and adorable American MUTT. If you are interested in this dog, you must submit an application. Great Dog is not a shelter so there is no building you can visit. Our dogs live in private foster homes until adopted.
