We are a volunteer run rescue and donate our time to these dogs. IF you are not serious about moving forward in our adoption process, please do not apply. If someone other than yourself is part of the decision making process, please make sure you have spoken with them and they are on board. We really do not want to waste anyone's time if you are not serious about adopting this dog.
Please note our process starts with an application. If we think you might be a good fit, we will reach out to coordinate a phone interview. This is followed by a video call with the foster home. Virtual home visit, personal and vet reference checks are required to complete the process. Transport is included in our adoption donation.

Ziggy has never met a stranger. At just 6 months old, Ziggy is already neutered and weighs 48 lbs. This goofy Great Pyrenees mix is expected to grow into a large to extra-large dog and greets life with a wagging tail, an open heart, and the biggest puppy grin you've ever seen. He's still very much a kid at heart, full of curiosity, joy, and endless enthusiasm for whatever adventure comes next.
Ziggy is being fostered in Austin, Texas and is available for adoption out of state. Transport can be arranged by the rescue once matched with an approved adopter. The adoption process includes an application, phone interview, video call with the foster home, virtual home visit, and vet and personal reference checks.
Before coming into rescue, Ziggy was found roaming alone near a taco truck, hoping someone might toss him a few scraps. Thankfully, a Good Samaritan stepped in before anything happened to him, and now this happy boy gets to focus on being exactly what he should have always been... a carefree puppy.
Ziggy absolutely loves people and other dogs. He wants to say hello to everyone he meets and has shown no signs of reactivity on walks. He's friendly, social, and always excited to make a new friend, whether they have two legs or four. He especially loves playing with other dogs and would thrive with a confident adult canine companion who can continue teaching him how to be a well-mannered dog while burning off some of that endless puppy energy.
On leash, Ziggy walks nicely and already knows "sit," showing he's eager to learn and enjoys working with his people. He's a smart boy who responds well to positive reinforcement and is at the perfect age to continue building great manners and confidence.
Ziggy is still very much a puppy, and with that comes all the fun (and occasional chaos) that puppyhood brings. He sometimes forgets that those puppy teeth are still sharp and will gently nibble hands during play. He's curious about absolutely everything and isn't above investigating things he probably shouldn't, so supervision and plenty of appropriate toys are important. Structure, consistency, and lots of love will help him grow into a wonderful adult dog.
Ziggy is house trained and has done very well in the home without accidents. He occasionally has accidents overnight in his crate, but given his age, that's not unusual and should continue to improve as he matures and settles into a routine.
Because he's still such a young, energetic dog, Ziggy will do best in a home where someone is around more often than not to continue his training and help him navigate the world. An active family that enjoys walks, hikes, playing outside, or other adventures would be an excellent match. Keeping both his mind and body busy will help him thrive.
Ziggy hasn't been around cats or children yet. Because he's still learning what personal space is and can become so excited that he jumps up to share his affection, we think he'd do best in a home with respectful children ages 10 and older who understand how to interact appropriately with dogs and respect their boundaries.
His ideal home would include another friendly adult dog to help show him the ropes, though the right active family willing to continue his training could also help him flourish. More than anything, Ziggy needs people who understand that while he's growing into a very large dog, he's still just a goofy puppy who needs guidance, patience, and plenty of opportunities to learn.
If you're looking for a loyal adventure buddy with a giant heart, a contagious zest for life, and enough love to fill a house, Ziggy might just be your perfect match. He's ready to leave his days of searching for scraps behind and spend the rest of his life knowing exactly where he belongs.
