Meet Gorilla from the Safari Litter! He is amazing, a gentle giant of a boy. At 18 weeks old, he's about 40#. DNA said they are German Shepherd / Great Pyrenees / Bully and more. We are guessing he will be in the 70-90# when fully grown, a BIG handsome guy. They were born about March 3rd.

Like all the littermates, this boy is so sweet. He gets along with all the resident foster dogs and cats. He'd be great in any family. In typical GSD fashion, his ears are playing up down games. Right now, it's one up, one down. It's super cute! And he's soft... like mink coat soft, making cuddling that much better.

As with many of our rescue litters - these pups had a RUFF start. Their vet visit and 4DX test prior to transport shared they have a tick borne illness called Ehrlichia. He was immediately started on doxycycline and again, and has not shown any symptoms, as we caught the exposure early.

This puppy is neutered, microchipped and fully vaccinated, including rabies.

Currently in a foster homes, they are learning all things puppy - crate training is going well, housebreaking, and more! They are doing so great - smart puppies!

Puppies are good with dogs, cats, kids and more. Being a puppy, they will need lots of training, including housebreaking. Remember, puppies are cute, but they have sharp teeth, need to be fed 3 times a day and poop... a lot! They will cry in their crate, might need a potty break in the middle of the night. They will pee and poop in your house - your fault ;) - and will chew on your shoes, your childrens toys and maybe even the furniture. But... once transitioned into your home, will be life long companions!

The 3-3-3 rule is a guideline for transitioning a rescue dog into its new home and helping it to settle in. It suggests that the first three days should be used for adjusting to its new surroundings, the next three weeks for training and bonding, and the first three months for continued socialization and training.

Each dog goes home with a goody bag including collar/leash, toys, chews, Kong, and more. You will receive all medical records, microchip transfer form and other paperwork at the time of adoption.

His adoption takes place in Stanwood.
Adoption fee is $525. Save-A-Mutt is a registered 501c3 and half of your adoption fee may be tax deductible.

Save-A-Mutt is a foster based rescue, we do not have a facility to visit. Our adoptions are typically done Monday - Saturday, we are closed on Sundays to give our volunteers at least one day off. You must be available to do meets and adoptions during that time frame. We can make exceptions only with the approval of the foster home.

Please note, we have approximately a 300 mile adoption radius - Portland OR area and Vancouver BC is the farthest north. We dont ship dogs, once approved you must pick them up in Snohomish County, WA. Canadian adopters must be able to come to Stanwood WA to pick up your dog.
