Rory is a female Standard Poodle who weighs 40 pounds and is looking for a patient family to help her continue discovering just how wonderful life can be. While she's still shy, Rory has already begun taking encouraging steps forward and is slowly learning that people can be kind and the world isn't quite as scary as it once seemed.

Like many under-socialized dogs, Rory can be unsure in new situations, but each day she becomes a little more comfortable. Our team is helping her build trust through gentle handling, positive experiences, and lots of encouragement. She has already started learning to walk on a leash and is making steady progress, especially when someone is there to cheer her on.

Rory would thrive with adopters who understand that healing isn't measured in giant leaps, but in the quiet victories along the way. Every new experience, every wag, and every step forward is something to celebrate. With patience, consistency, and love, Rory will continue blossoming into the companion she was always meant to be.

She gets along well with other dogs and would do best in a home with a friendly, social canine companion who can help show her the ropes and provide reassurance as she settles into her new life.
