Meet Ruby!
Ruby is a gorgeous, young girl with a beautiful solid-black coat and a sweet, sensitive soul. She was surrendered to us due to lifestyle changes with her previous owner and is now looking for a special home where she can truly relax and blossom.

Ruby is very shy when meeting new people, so she will do best in a quiet, low-key home with patient people who are willing to give her time to build confidence. A home without a lot of visitors or frequent traffic coming and going would be especially important for Ruby. She can be overwhelmed by too much activity, and having a calm, predictable environment will help her feel safe and secure.

Ruby has shown us that she really enjoys the company of other dogs. She has done well with male dogs while in our care and does noticeably better when she has a canine companion by her side. Having a confident, friendly male dog in her new home may help Ruby feel more comfortable as she adjusts.

Ruby also loves going for car rides, making her an excellent candidate for someone who enjoys bringing their dog along for quiet adventures. When introduced to our office cat, Tony, Ruby was non-reactive, which was another positive interaction for this sweet girl.

Ruby may need a little extra patience in the beginning, but for the person willing to let her come out of her shell at her own pace, she has the potential to become a deeply loyal and loving companion. She isn't looking for a busy household - she's looking for a peaceful place to call home, a patient person to trust, and perhaps a friendly dog to show her the way.
