Meet Caramel

Caramel is a resilient 1-year-old Black Mouth Cur/Shepherd mix with a story of survival—and a heart full of love to match.

She came from Ferris, TX, where many dogs were found living in terrible conditions after a devastating house fire. Despite everything she’s been through at such a young age, Caramel has held onto her joyful, trusting spirit—and it truly shines.

Weighing around 40 pounds, Caramel is a playful, energetic girl who loves to run, explore, and soak up attention. She’s incredibly friendly with both people and other dogs, making her a wonderful companion for an active home.

Caramel is crate trained and currently working on her basic commands. She’s also learning how to walk on a leash and improving every day. Like many young pups, she can be a bit mouthy during play, so a home without small children will be the best fit while she continues learning her manners.

Her ideal home is one that will give her structure, patience, and plenty of opportunities to play and grow. Whether she ends up as your one-and-only or joins a home with another dog, her adaptable and social personality gives her so much potential to thrive.
