DESCRIPTION
Meet Tadpole!
Tadpole is a young (maybe about 3 years old) adult heeler mix who came to Saving Hope from a hoarding situation in Fannin, TX.
Tadpole may start off a little shy, but give him some time and you’ll discover a total cuddle bug underneath. Rescued from a crowded home, he’s still learning that the world can be a safe and loving place.
He is crate and house trained and has been neutered. He’s working on his leash manners and would thrive with a patient and loving adopter who can continue building his confidence.
Tadpole does well with other dogs, although he can be dog selective so slow introductions are necessary. He also does well with kids.
He would love a relaxed home where he can learn what it is like to be loved. He would probably enjoy having a doggie companion, but it is not necessary. He would not do well living in an apartment.
To set up a meet and greet or inquire about a dog, please first fill out an application at https://savinghoperescue.org/adopt. It doesn't obligate you, but it is the first step. We don't get to all of the inquires but respond to all applications. Thank you for choosing to rescue!
ABOUT: AUSTRALIAN CATTLE DOG BLUE HEELER DOG BREED
The Australian Cattle Dog, also known as the Blue Heeler, is a hardworking and intelligent breed originally developed in Australia for herding cattle. Renowned for their endurance and agility, these medium sized dogs have a striking blue or red speckled coat and alert, curious expression. With a strong herding instinct and boundless energy, they require mental stimulation and physical activity to thrive. Blue Heelers are loyal, protective, and make excellent companions for active individuals or families willing to provide the engagement and exercise they need.
The mixed breed dogs, often referred to as mutts, are a diverse and unique group with a blend of different characteristics from various purebred dog breeds. These dogs come from a mixture of lineages, resulting in a wide range of sizes, coat types, and temperaments. While each mixed breed dog is distinct in its own right, they are known for their resilience, adaptability, and often have fewer health issues compared to purebred dogs due to their genetic diversity. Mixed breed dogs make wonderful companions for families looking for a loyal and one-of-a-kind pet.
