Animal Information: Venus is an estimated 11-week-old female German Shepherd/Malinois mix. Venus is the roman goddess of love. She was found as a stray with her mom and 9 siblings. She had been at the Devore animal shelter for 2 weeks and was on the euth list due to space. Thanks to a Seattle area foster stepping up to take the family in, they were all saved. We will share more about Venus her mom and siblings as they settle in.

Foster Profile: Venus is a happy playful pup who
likes to be close by her person. She has a great off switch. Doing well with potty training. Sleeps well in her crate at night in our room (only waking us up twice a night to tell us she needs to go out to potty). For her working dog behaviors—she has great toy, play and food drives. She trains quickly. Seems to have good environmental soundness. She is quickly picking up the skill of whenever she doesn’t know how to respond to stimuli she looks to her person for a treat. Venus loves to play and respects boundaries. (Anytime she gets overstimulated just two 2 min timeout in her crate next to me she calms down and is ready to play again.
Home with securely fenced yard and breed experience preferred. We will not be considering apartments for these puppies

Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $575 which includes spay/neuter, core vaccinations Rabies and DPPV per AVMA standards, any indicated preventative care, heartworm test, microchip with lifetime registration, and recent health check with a veterinarian. Adoption fee may be tax deductible as Dog Gone Seattle is a 501c3 organization (ID 81-5101166).

Animal History: This dog was transferred from in Devore Animal Shelter in CA. She will be transferred via Wiggle Butts, arriving to foster care on 01/25/2026 and available for adoption in the greater Seattle area once evaluated in foster care.
