DESCRIPTION
Meet Poppy! Poppy is a 3-year-old, 32lbs, female English Bulldog. Poppy is a very special lady. She did have a bit of alopecia and skin lick dermatitis that has been healing with medication. We did rule out anything yucky just in case. Poppy also has hip dysplasia, but that doesn't seem to slow her down. She will need to stay at a healthy weight and regular low-impact exercises to help keep the muscles supporting the hips strong. Poppy also had her soft palate reduced to help her airflow. She is otherwise a happy girl who loves to be the cause of the conversation!
The adoption fee is $400. This includes the spay/neuter, dental cleaning, microchip, heartworm test, wellness bloodwork, fecal flotation and all core vaccines.
If you are interested in adopting Poppy, please e-mail adoptions@thelovepetproject.org with "Poppy" in the subject. Please also tell us about yourself and your household.
ABOUT: ENGLISH BULLDOG DOG BREED
The English Bulldog is a distinctive and beloved breed known for its sturdy build, wrinkled face, and gentle temperament. Originating in England, these dogs are characterized by their muscular frame, powerful jaw, and unique pushed in nose. Despite their tough appearance, English Bulldogs are affectionate, loyal, and great with children, making them excellent family pets. Due to their brachycephalic nature, they may struggle with overheating and breathing issues, requiring attentive care and moderate exercise to keep them healthy and happy.
