Penelope's story is one of quiet resilience and joyful discovery. She completed heartworm treatment after starting in February and March and is now healthy and ready to embrace the life she's been missing. Previously used as a breeder, Penelope spent much of her past confined to a crate, without the chance to learn what it truly means to be a dog-but that's all changing.

Every day, Penelope grows more confident and curious about the world around her. She's discovering the simple joys of playtime-especially when a tennis ball is involved, which is easily her favorite! She's nearly house trained and keeps her crate spotless, showing how eager she is to learn and thrive in a home environment.

Penelope gets along well with other dogs and would likely do best with a playful canine companion to help build her confidence. However, she is not a good fit for a home with cats, as she tends to chase them. She's still working on her manners, but she is making steady progress and learning more every day.

Penelope would do best in a home with another dog and/or older children who can give her the patience and encouragement she needs as she continues to blossom. With time, love, and consistency, she's going to make a wonderful, loyal companion.


***Adoption Process***
-All current pets in the home need to be spayed/neutered, up to date on vaccines and on veterinarian prescribed flea/tick/heart worm prevention.
-Everyone living in the home, including all resident dogs, must be present at the meet and greet located in the Southwest Ohio area.
-We DO NOT ship dogs!!!
