DESCRIPTION
Hi, I'm Thelma!
I'm a 2-year-old, 16-pound Dachshund mix, and I'm ready to find a loving family to call my own.
I was recently surrendered and found myself in a loud, crowded shelter. It was an overwhelming place for a little girl like me, but thankfully Paws Fur Recovery came to my rescue and gave me a safe place to land.
I have a very sweet, gentle demeanor and love spending time with people. I really enjoy taking walks around the property, and I'm great on a leash. I'm also house trained, get along well with other dogs, and I absolutely love treats.
I've been through a lot of changes recently, but I haven't let that change my sweet personality. What I want most now is a family who will love me, make me feel safe, and give me the forever home I've been waiting for.
Could you be my person?
Adoption Fee: $395

The dachshund is a small dog breed known for its long body, short legs, and distinctive appearance. Originally bred for hunting badgers, these playful and loyal dogs make loving companions for families. Dachshunds come in three coat varieties smooth, wirehaired, and longhaired each with its own unique charm. Despite their size, dachshunds are bold and courageous, with a curious nature that can sometimes lead to mischief. Their endearing personality and adaptability make them popular pets worldwide.
The mixed breed dogs, often referred to as mutts, are a diverse and unique group with a blend of different characteristics from various purebred dog breeds. These dogs come from a mixture of lineages, resulting in a wide range of sizes, coat types, and temperaments. While each mixed breed dog is distinct in its own right, they are known for their resilience, adaptability, and often have fewer health issues compared to purebred dogs due to their genetic diversity. Mixed breed dogs make wonderful companions for families looking for a loyal and one-of-a-kind pet.
