Meet Skye!

Skye is a sweet and loving Cocker Spaniel/Dachshund mix with the biggest brown eyes and a heart to match. She is the kind of dog who wants to be wherever her people are. If you are in the kitchen cooking, Skye will be right there with you. If you move to another room, she is right by your side. She truly loves being included in whatever her people are doing.

Skye is affectionate, gentle, playful, and full of personality. She enjoys going for walks, sniffing and exploring outside, and playing with other dogs. She has done wonderfully with the resident dog and really enjoys having a canine companion to play with. After some playtime, she is just as happy to curl up next to you for a nap or a good cuddle.

She does well on a leash and is continuing to work on her potty training and basic commands like "sit" and "come." She is making good progress and is eager to learn. Skye does not enjoy being in a crate and is much happier when she can be close to her people.

Skye has been around older children, ages 13 and 17, and has done well with them. She has not been around younger children, so we don't know yet how she would do with little ones. She is not a fan of cats, so a home without cats would be best for her.

One of Skye's biggest qualities is simply how much she loves her people. She would be a wonderful companion for someone who works from home, is retired, or otherwise has someone around much of the day. A home with a resident dog would also be a great fit for her because she enjoys having another dog around.

If you're looking for a sweet, affectionate little shadow who will happily follow you around the house and then snuggle up beside you, Skye may be your girl. Her big brown eyes and loving personality are sure to steal your heart!
