Doris *Arriving 9/26* D12446 - Chihuahua and Dachshund Dog for Adoption

Doris is ready for her happily-ever-after. This sweet little Chihuahua joined her Texas foster with her puppies. She was an amazing mom, raised her babies beautifully, and watched them head off to their next chapter. Now it's finally Doris's turn to be spoiled and loved.
Doris is good with everyone and everything, but what she really wants is one thing: to be close to her person.
She can be a little shy when she first meets someone, but she warms up quickly. And once Doris decides you're her person, congratulations, you've acquired a tiny, devoted shadow! She wants to be beside you, follow you, and be as physically close as possible at all times. Honestly, if she could climb inside your skin just to get a little closer, she probably would.
Doris is much more of a lounger than a player. She's perfectly happy relaxing near her favorite human rather than spending the day looking for something to do. Her idea of a perfect life is being included in whatever you're doing, preferably from approximately six inches away.
One thing to know: if Doris is in her kennel and can see you but can't be with you, she may let you know how strongly she disagrees with that arrangement. She simply wants to be where her person is!

Doris is from Texas. They arrive in Minnesota on 9/26/2026 and will need to be picked up from the Ruff Start Rescue office in Princeton, MN between the hours of 9am and noon. Please plan for their arrival accordingly as we cannot accommodate pickups outside of this time frame. Since they haven't arrived yet, they are available exclusively through Ruff Start's Foster to Adopt (FTA) Program. Visit our Foster to Adopt Program page to learn more. Once they get to Minnesota, they might require further veterinary care. Ruff Start's veterinary suite is located in Princeton, MN, and, as the foster, you will be required to transport your dog to and from these vetting appointments.
