Hi everyone, I'm Justice.



I'm about 4 months old, weigh around 7.5 pounds, and I'm believed to be a Chihuahua/Terrier mix. I'm still a little guy now, and I'm expected to stay somewhere around 25 pounds or under when I'm fully grown.



I'm also neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped, so all I'm really missing now is a family of my own.



My siblings and I had a pretty uncertain beginning. We were being given away in a parking lot when someone involved in rescue stepped in and made sure we ended up somewhere safe.

Since then, I've been learning what it feels like to be cared for.



I've also been spending time with a trainer, working on my confidence and socialization. I've made a lot of progress, but I'm still the kind of puppy who likes to take things in for a minute before deciding everything is okay.



Once I do, though, you get to see the real me. I'm sweet, playful, affectionate, and I absolutely want to be part of whatever you're doing. I just need someone who understands that confidence doesn't happen overnight.



I would really benefit from having another friendly dog in my new home. Watching a confident dog navigate the world helps me understand that I'm safe too. I'm also good with cats.

Because I can still be nervous when there's a lot happening around me, I'd do best with older kids who can understand when I need a little space and let me come to them at my own pace.

And I've already proven that I'm capable of some pretty big things.



I even visited an Alzheimer's Day Club and spent time meeting new people. For a puppy who has had to work on feeling comfortable around unfamiliar faces, that was a huge step.

I don't need someone to feel sorry for me, I just need someone who sees the dog I'm becoming.



Someone who will keep helping me learn, give me encouragement when I hesitate, play with me when I'm feeling silly, and show me that being loved can be something I never have to worry about losing.



But give me a little time, a little patience, and a whole lot of love, and I think you'll discover that I'm a pretty special little guy.
