Meet Toothless



He's tiny. He's sweet. He's affectionate. He's playful.

And because he's a black kitten, there's a very real chance that people will scroll right past him without ever realizing just how special he is.



We really hope you won't.



Toothless was born on July 11th to a stray mama cat. His story started without the certainty of a warm bed, a safe home, or a family waiting for him. But this little boy has his entire life ahead of him now and all we want is for the rest of his story to be different.



We want him to grow up knowing what it feels like to belong.



Toothless is a gorgeous little black kitten with the sweetest tiny bits of white peeking through his coat. He tends to be aloof and observant at first, quietly watching the world around him and taking everything in.



But then you pick him up.

You scratch him.

You cuddle him close.

And suddenly that mysterious little black kitten melts into your arms.



He LOVES being held, scratched, and cuddled, and when he's ready to play, his silly side comes right out. He's also wonderful with dogs, cats, and kids, making him an incredibly sweet little companion for so many different families.



Toothless has received his age-appropriate vaccines, is microchipped, and will be neutered once he is big enough.



The heartbreaking thing about black cats is that sometimes people don't stop long enough to see them. Their features may not stand out as brightly in a photo. They may blend into the background and while someone is looking for a kitten with a flashier coat or more unusual markings, a little black cat can sit and wait and wonder when it will finally be his turn.



We don't want that for Toothless.



Because his coat may be black, but there is absolutely nothing ordinary about the little soul underneath it. The truth is, black cats are THE BEST and THE SWEETEST. Truly! Ask anyone who owns one!



Someday, Toothless could be the cat who runs to greet you when you come home. The one curled against you on the couch. The little shadow following you from room to room. The warm body tucked into your arms while you scratch his favorite spot.



Someday, someone is going to look at this little black kitten and wonder how they ever lived without him.



We just need that person to find him.
