Wagoner - Chihuahua Dog for Adoption in Springfield, Missouri

Dolly said it best: "I will always love you."

Hi there! Wagoner here (named after Porter Wagoner, Dolly Parton's long-time partner and friend). I am a one-year-old, 10 and 1/2-pound, Chihuahua fella. I was rescued along with 16 other dogs from a pretty terrible situation, and I am so happy to be learning to trust and to give and accept love in my foster home. I have come so far in the short time I have been with Rescue One. I am brave and playful and loving. I will show you affection with sweet kisses. I also do the cutest little happy dance! I get along with cats, calm, respectful children, and other dogs my size.
My forever home requirements are: a privacy-fenced yard, another dog my size to play with and help boost my confidence, and a patient, loving family that will take things at my pace while I learn to be comfortable in my new home surroundings. I am still working on learning to walk on a leash, and I am so close to being house trained. I am calm and comfortable in my crate.
Once you meet me, I just know you will want to make me part of your family and love me forever, just like Dolly loved Porter Wagoner. Click the link below to fill out an application to adopt me TODAY!

My adoption fee is $150 and includes my spay/neuter, vaccinations, wellness exam, heartworm test, and microchip! If you're interested in meeting/adopting me, please visit www.rescueonespringfield.com/our-adoption-process/adoption-application/ and fill out the form! We do adopt out of state with vet references and video home check. *Adopter is responsible for coming to get the dog and returning the dog if the adoption does not work out*

Chihuahuas make excellent companions, forming strong bonds with their owners and displaying a protective nature. They come in a variety of coat colors and patterns, with both long and short coats, making them a diverse and adorable addition to any family.
