Meet Emma !

Emma is 23 pounds of "your lap looks like the perfect place for me," and she has absolutely no concern about whether you were planning to share your chair! She's thought to be a chihuahua/terrier/jack russell mix and all we know is she's a mix of adorable, lovable and sweet!

Emma found herself at a local shelter after circumstances changed and her owner could no longer keep her. She arrived alongside another dog from her home, and shelter life was incredibly difficult for both of them. Emma began shutting down and wasn't eating well, so she was pulled into rescue and brought into a foster home!

And what a difference a home made!

Emma spent her time in foster care living inside as part of a pack of 22 dogs, and she absolutely thrived! She loves other dogs, fits beautifully into a pack, and also did great living alongside a cat. She's house trained and adjusted wonderfully to everyday life inside a home and would do well with kids.

Now Emma has made her way to The Asher House, and the affectionate, happy little dog who was struggling so much in the shelter is ready to find her family!

Emma REALLY loves her people! She's incredibly affectionate, cuddly, and happiest when she's close to someone. Sit down in a chair and there's a very good chance Emma will decide your lap is now her lap too! At only 23 pounds, she remains thoroughly convinced that she qualifies as a lap dog!

Emma is sweet, social, loving, and simply wants to be part of the family. She can spend her day surrounded by a whole pack of dog friends and then happily curl up with her person when it's time to relax!

Emma's adoption fee is $295 and she's spayed, vaccinated and microchipped.
