Simba is ready to adopt his new family! This 6 month-old Chihuahua mix has the coloring, courage and appetite of a baby lion, plus stunning green eyes to match! By day, Simba is a lively little bundle of energy who loves to play. He’s full of personality and even thinks he’s human sometimes: he shows off by walking (and jumping!) around on two legs with ease.

By night, Simba transforms into a total cuddle bug, sleeping soundly through the night curled up on your chest or resting his head on your shoulder.

He has been happily living with other dogs of various ages who have been showing this adorable puppy the ropes. He is still working on mastering his “good dog” skills; He’s good with a leash, although there is room for improvement as he gets more experience under his belt. He enjoys saying hello to dogs he passes in the street, but can be a bit more shy in the more energetic environment of a dog park.

He is trying very hard at potty training and has improved significantly over the last two weeks, though he is still working on it. He has been quiet, only barking when the others initiate and get him riled up. He is not crate trained, but is very comfortable in cars. As with any puppy, he does need to be reminded of boundaries regarding chewing behavior, but he’s eager to please and learning quickly!

A home with at least one other dog would be ideal so he has someone to play with and learn from, however homes without another dog will be considered. He has had a small bit of exposure to cats and seems at ease with them. We’ve not seen him interact with young children, but he has yet to have an issue with any humans or pets.
