Meet Cole!

Cole is a 1 year old Chihuahua mix weighing approximately 12 pounds, and if you ask anyone whos met him, theyll tell you the same thing, he is one of the sweetest little dogs youll ever meet. Playful, affectionate, and full of love, Cole has an incredible personality that shines through in everything he does. Hes the kind of dog who instantly wants to be your best friend and will happily soak up every bit of love and attention you have to give.

As wonderful as Cole is today, his story began with heartbreak. Cole, his female companion, and their litter of puppies were cruelly thrown from a moving car and left behind. Thankfully, kind bystanders witnessed what happened and immediately called one of our rescue partners. When help arrived, Cole didnt run away or think only of himself. Instead, he led the volunteer straight to his puppies, making sure they were found and brought to safety too. Despite the unimaginable cruelty he endured, Cole never lost his loving heart or his trust in people.

Today, Cole is exactly the dog he was always meant to be. He absolutely adores people and forms connections almost instantly. His tail is always wagging, hes eager to make new friends, and he has a joyful, loving spirit thats impossible not to fall in love with. He also gets along wonderfully with other dogs and enjoys having canine companions to play with. Cats, however, are a little too exciting for Cole, and he will chase them, so hes looking for a cat-free home.

Cole sleeps quietly in his crate each night and is doing a fantastic job with house training when kept on a consistent routine. Like any young dog, hell need his forever family to continue reinforcing those good habits, but hes already off to an excellent start and is eager to please.

Cole is neutered, up to date on his vaccinations, and will come with a health certificate before adoption. Hes healthy, happy, and more than ready to leave his difficult past behind.

Cole has every reason not to trust people, yet he chooses love anyway. His resilience, forgiving heart, and unwavering affection are truly inspiring. Now all he needs is a family who will promise him that hell never be abandoned again.
