Meet Jack & Jill!

Jack and Jill are an adorable brother-and-sister duo of Chihuahua mixes who are approximately 3 months old and weigh about 5 pounds each. Based on their current size, we expect them to be around 15 pounds full grown, making them the perfect small companions.

These sweet babies got a second chance at life after being rescued from a high-risk shelter in the South where they were at risk of euthanasia. Thankfully, they made it safely into foster care, and they have been blossoming ever since.

Like many puppies who have experienced the stress of a shelter environment, Jack and Jill can be a little shy when first meeting new people. Once they feel safe, however, their loving personalities begin to shine. They absolutely adore their foster mom and have shown just how affectionate and sweet they can be when given a little patience and understanding.

Both puppies get along well with other dogs and have also done great with cats. They are currently working hard on crate training and house training and are making wonderful progress. In fact, they seem to really enjoy their crate and find comfort in having a safe space of their own. As young puppies, they will need continued guidance and consistency from their forever families as they continue learning.

While Jack and Jill love each other, we would actually love to see them adopted into separate homes. Because they are both still building confidence, having their own families will help them develop independently and form strong bonds with their humans rather than becoming overly dependent on one another. We believe each puppy will thrive with individual attention, training, and encouragement.

Because they can be timid initially and are still very small, homes with older, respectful children would likely be the best fit. Slow and steady wins the race with these little ones, and the reward will be loyal, loving companions who blossom more every day.

Jack and Jill will be spayed/neutered, up to date on vaccinations, and will receive health certificates prior to adoption.
