Chico is a 2-year-old, 10-pound chihuahua mix from Alabama with a loving heart and a sweet, loyal nature. He has settled beautifully into his foster home in Jersey City and quickly shown what a special little companion he is.
He loves the simple joys in life — snuggling close, going for long walks, and playing with his stuffed toys. But his all-time favorite activity is watching TV. Chico is especially obsessed with Crikey! It's the Irwins about the Australian zoo and is fully convinced the animals on screen are hiding behind the television.
He sleeps in his crate through the night and settles into it quietly when left alone during the day. The crate door is left open because he's such a good boy he doesn't get into trouble. Chico is also a smart boy who is housetrained, doing well on walks, and learning commands like “sit.” He's very social on walks and always excited to make new dog friends.
At home, Chico's favorite place is wherever his person is. He loves to snuggle, follow his foster mom around, and keep close to the person he loves. He's a sensitive and affectionate pup who may need a little time to feel fully at home and let his true personality shine, but once he does, his new family will be rewarded with endless loyalty, joy, and love. He would be very happy with a solo adopter or a moderately active family, and possibly as the only dog so he can soak up all the love he deserves.
If you're looking for a devoted little dog who will stay by your side, join you for movie night, and fill your home with love, Chico may be your perfect match.
Vaccinated for rabies, DHPP, and bordetella, spayed/neutered and microchipped. Negative for heartworm disease and current on flea, tick, and heartworm prevention.
