Gigi - Maltese and Poodle Dog Available for Adoption in New York, New York

Gigi is an 11-year-old Maltipoo who is 10 lbs and truly as sweet as she looks.

After recently losing her beloved owner, this gentle little girl is searching for a loving forever home where she can feel safe, adored, and part of a family again.

Gigi may be a senior, but she has the playful spirit of a dog half her age. She loves fetch, carrying around her favorite stuffies, cozy cuddle sessions, and following her people from room to room. She absolutely lights up when someone walks through the door and has shown no signs of separation anxiety in foster care. Every now and then, she'll even break out into adorable little zoomies.

This smart, affectionate girl is both pee pad trained and outdoor trained. She's adjusting to city life after growing up in the suburbs and is currently working on her leash skills. Gigi prefers shorter, quieter walks away from busy crowds and would thrive in a calm environment where she can continue building confidence at her own pace.

Gigi is a polite and well-behaved companion overall and knows sit. Like many dogs, she can occasionally be a little possessive of her toys, and grooming isn't exactly her favorite activity but treats and patience go a long way with her.

Gigi would do best:
• In a quiet home
• With adults or older children
• As an only dog or with another calm, respectful pup
• In either an apartment or house (a fenced yard would be a dream for her!)

Vaccinated for rabies, DHPP, and bordetella, spayed and microchipped. Current on flea, tick, and heartworm prevention.
