DESCRIPTION
Meet Cactus Jack & Dusty - The Tiny Duo With Giant Hearts
Cactus Jack and Dusty are two-year-old bonded chihuahua mixes, weighing just 11 and 13 pounds, and they are truly the definition of "better together." These sweet boys have spent their whole lives side by side, and their bond shows in the most heart-melting ways - they nap together, play together, and look to each other for comfort and confidence.
Cactus Jack is the softer, tender-hearted one who loves gentle affection and quiet moments. Dusty, the slightly bigger brother, brings a calm, easygoing energy and is currently being treated for heartworms, but he's doing great and has a bright future ahead. Both boys are incredibly loving, friendly, and easy to adore.
They're small, sweet, and so ready for a home that will love them as the duo they are. Adopt them together and you'll get double the snuggles, double the joy, and a lifetime of love from two very loyal little brothers.

Any breed labels used by Take Paws Rescue, its employees/volunteers, or on vet records provided cannot be guaranteed. Breed labels are given based on information obtained during intake and/or best guesses based on appearance and/or temperament of the dogs and Take Paws Rescue gives no assurance to the accuracy of these labels. Additionally, exact age and potential size cannot be guaranteed.
***Take Paws Rescue, based in New Orleans, saves dogs from high-kill shelters across the South, owner surrenders, and discarded dogs with uncertain futures. All of our animals live in foster homes where they are socialized and well cared for. An application will be required to make sure it's the perfect match!
ABOUT: CHIHUAHUA DOG BREED
The Chihuahua is a small breed famous for its confidence, loyalty, and big personality, despite its tiny size. Originating from Mexico, these dogs are known for their large, expressive eyes and alert, curious nature. Chihuahuas make excellent companions, forming strong bonds with their owners and displaying a protective nature. They come in a variety of coat colors and patterns, with both long and short coats, making them a diverse and adorable addition to any family.
The mixed breed dogs, often referred to as mutts, are a diverse and unique group with a blend of different characteristics from various purebred dog breeds. These dogs come from a mixture of lineages, resulting in a wide range of sizes, coat types, and temperaments. While each mixed breed dog is distinct in its own right, they are known for their resilience, adaptability, and often have fewer health issues compared to purebred dogs due to their genetic diversity. Mixed breed dogs make wonderful companions for families looking for a loyal and one-of-a-kind pet.
