Hi there! I'm Rocky - a handsome, 3-year-old Australian Shepherd with a heart as big as my fluffy coat.
I was born in March 2023, which means I'm at that perfect age: past the wild puppy stage but still full of life, energy, and adventure. I love to play, explore, and stay active, but I'm just as happy to relax and unwind when my people are doing the same.
I'm soon-to-be neutered, fully vetted, and up to date on all my vaccines, heartworm prevention, and flea/tick meds - basically, I'm ready to go home with you!
I came into rescue through no fault of my own. My best buddy was deployed to serve our country, so now I'm doing my best to be brave while I wait for my next chapter.
In my foster home, I've been told I'm a wonderful boy (I try my best!). I'm incredibly smart - like, scary smart - and I love to learn and please my people. I walk nicely on a leash and really enjoy getting out and about, though every now and then I get a little enthusiastic and just need a gentle reminder.
I'm also a total sweetheart and a great snuggler. At the end of the day, I'm the kind of dog who wants to be your best friend - loyal, loving, and always by your side, whether we're out on an adventure or curled up at home.
If you're looking for the perfect blend of brains, beauty, and companionship, I just might be your guy.

All known details about our animals are posted on their profile and updated daily. Other info will be discussed in detail with the foster during the application review process. Due to the high volume of introductions/questions received we ask you to submit an application (that application can be used for any dog with Take Paws Rescue).

The adoption fee for adult dogs covers age appropriate vaccinations, microchip, spay/neuter if not yet performed, heartworm test & appropriate heartworm treatment by the rescue's vet. All dogs in our care are also kept up-to-date on HW/Flea Prevention.
