Meet Penelope!

Penelope is a sweet, loving 6–7-year-old with a big personality packed into a little body. She is loyal, protective, and completely devoted to her people.

Penelope does okay with other dogs and cats and would likely do best with older children who understand that she needs her space and boundaries respected. She is very food motivated and can be protective of her meals, especially when other animals are nearby, so she will need a family willing to give her a peaceful place to eat.

Penelope has been through some trauma in her past, and because of that, she is uncomfortable with her ears and head being touched. She may need some patience and time to build trust, but once she chooses you, she truly chooses you. Her person becomes her whole world, and she will happily be your little shadow and protector.

At bedtime, Penelope has the sweetest routine—she loves to burrow underneath the blankets and snuggle right between her people. She may be a tiny girl, but she has plenty of love to give!

Penelope is spayed and up to date on all of her vaccinations. She is looking for a patient, understanding family who will respect her boundaries, earn her trust, and let her show them just how loving she can be.
