Meet Jimothy-better known to his friends as Jim-Jim. This adorable 7-year-old Chihuahua/Jack Russell mix may have arrived feeling unsure of the world, but once you earn his trust, you'll discover one of the most devoted little sidekicks you could ask for.
Jim-Jim is happiest when he's close to his person. Whether he's snoozing beside you, curled up in your lap, or burrowed beneath a blanket in one of his famous "blanket igloos," he simply loves being near the people he trusts. Once you've made it into his inner circle, expect a loyal shadow who follows you from room to room and greets every walk with the happiest little tippy-tap dance you've ever seen.
This sweet boy thrives on routine, gentle handling, and positive reinforcement. He's fully house trained, walks beautifully on a leash, rides well in the car, and already knows "sit." He's a smart little guy who enjoys exploring the yard or neighborhood and would love a securely fenced yard or a family committed to regular walks.
Jim-Jim does need time to adjust to new people, pets, and unfamiliar surroundings. Slow introductions and a patient, understanding home will help him continue building confidence. While he's learning to coexist with other dogs, he's still figuring out that the world is a safe place and appreciates people who respect his pace.
His foster family can't get enough of his quirky little personality. He waddles with the cutest side-to-side wiggle, chirps softly when he's especially happy, and snores contentedly from beneath his blanket fort after a long day of adventures. He may not know quite what to do with toys yet, but as his confidence grows, so does his playful side.
Jim-Jim isn't looking for a perfect home-he's looking for a patient one. Give him a predictable routine, gentle affection, plenty of walks, and a warm lap to call his own, and he'll reward you with unwavering loyalty and a friendship that's worth every moment spent earning his trust.
