Kaspian is a 1-year-old short-haired Chihuahua weighing just 16 pounds, but this tiny boy has a story of resilience, courage, and joy that is sure to steal your heart.

This precious little guy was found injured and brought to a veterinary hospital by a kind stranger. An animal control officer picked him up from the hospital, where X-rays revealed a pelvic fracture. Kaspian was placed on strict crate rest and medication, and for two months he patiently focused on healing. Thanks to excellent care and his amazing spirit, he made a full recovery and is now living life to the fullest.

Today, Kaspian is a happy, playful, and entertaining little companion. He loves playing fetch and can spend hours running around his foster moms yard, inventing games of hide-and-seek and keeping everyone laughing with his silly antics. His joyful personality shines through in everything he does.

Kaspian is the kind of dog who makes every day brighter. He has a sweet, affectionate nature and a zest for life that is impossible to resist. Whether he is chasing a toy, exploring the yard, or snuggling up after a busy day of fun, he brings happiness wherever he goes.

Kaspian is currently being fostered in Texas but is able to go to anywhere in the States and even in Canada to the right home. Transport can be arranged for approved adopters.

Yards MUST BE adequately and fully and adequately fenced to adopt our pups. We do not accept electric or underground fences.

Kaspian is 1 year old and currently weighs about 16 lbs and is fully vetted, neutered, up to date on vaccinations, and kept on heartworm and flea prevention.

Kaspian's adoption fee of $500 includes all vetting (DAPP with booster, Bordetella, Rabies vaccine, multiple broad spectrum deworming treatments, spay/neuter surgery and recovery, heartworm and flea prevention), a microchip with free lifetime registration, a high quality nylon Martingale collar, and a fitting Harness. Transport fee can range between $200 - $300 For the East Coast, and $250 - $350 for West Coast.

Our dogs are fully assessed by foster parents, vets and behaviorists, as well as videos and video chats are available to observe their manners in public. We are extremely transparent and like to share everything negative and positive with the adopters, to ensure it's a good fit and they are not returned to us, as the trips are very stressful on them.

Houston is home to million strays, many who are abandoned, many born on the streets, many who escaped while living in the yard, which is common in Texas. Since our rescue does not get grants that shelters get, we use adoption fee to help the pups and kitties in our care. Your adoption fee goes towards vetting and feeding our long term and permanent fosters, and unadoptable pups, as well as towards the monthly care and preventatives etc of our pets. By adopting one pup from our rescue, you make room for another dog to be rescued our high kill shelter, thus becoming an integral part of our mission to save as many unfortunate dogs off the streets and shelters as possible.
