Mia was born in July 2025 and purchased as a puppy, but her then owner was always at work, leaving her alone in an apartment. Finally he decided to surrender her to our vet clinic, from where she was brought to our care. Mia is an extremely easygoing Belgian Malinois puppy who is as sweet and smart as they come.
She has a gentle, loving nature and truly adores people. She is also able to spend time all alone, as long as she has toys to play with. She loves to be petted, so she does not mind laying next to her human, instead of being active 24/7.
Mia is friendly with everyone she meets, wonderful with children, and gets along beautifully with other dogs. She is also good with cats, even though sometimes she can be curious, but she does well with proper training and guidance around them.
Mia loves the water. She can spend hours in the pool, so a plastic pool will be a good investment to keep this girl happy.
Mia loves to play with other doggies, and is not at all an alpha. She is very good at taking cues and usually walks away when the other pup does not like her playing style. A home with another malinois, dutch shepherd, husky or German shepherd will be ideal for her.
Mia is very smart and eager to learn, making her a joy to train. She is affectionate, loyal, and ready to bond deeply with her forever human.
Whether shes playing, learning something new, or cuddling with her humans, Mias loving personality shines through.
Mia is currently being fostered in Texas but is able to go to anywhere in the States and even in Canada to the right home. Transport can be arranged for approved adopters.
Yards MUST BE adequately and fully and adequately fenced to adopt our pups. We do not accept electric or underground fences.
Mia currently weighs about 44 lbs and is fully vetted, spayed, up to date on vaccinations, and kept on heartworm and flea prevention.

Mia's adoption fee of $600 includes all vetting (DAPP with booster, Bordetella, Rabies vaccine, multiple broad spectrum deworming treatments, spay/neuter surgery and recovery, heartworm and flea prevention), a microchip with free lifetime registration, a high quality nylon Martingale collar, and a fitting Harness.
Our dogs are fully assessed by foster parents, vets and behaviorists, as well as videos and video chats are available to observe their manners in public. We are extremely transparent and like to share everything negative and positive with the adopters, to ensure it's a good fit and they are not returned to us, as the trips are very stressful on them.
Houston is home to million strays, many who are abandoned, many born on the streets, many who escaped while living in the yard, which is common in Texas. Since our rescue does not get grants that shelters get, we use adoption fee to help the pups and kitties in our care. Your adoption fee goes towards vetting and feeding our long term and permanent fosters, and unadoptable pups, as well as towards the monthly care and preventatives etc of our pets. By adopting one pup from our rescue, you make room for another dog to be rescued our high kill shelter, thus becoming an integral part of our mission to save as many unfortunate dogs off the streets and shelters as possible.
