Cyrano is a very special pup who is a real sweet boy. He is absolutely velcro and loves his humans.
Cyrano has now learned how to play with toys and to sit for treats by following his Dutch Shepherd foster sister Duchess. Although he loves his playtime with his doggie friends, his favorite pastime is to be a couch potato, laying next to his foster parent.
He was rescued from a very high kill shelter of Houston, where he was a staff favorite, that kept him alive.
He is very loving and extremely loyal, ffectionate and adorable.
Cyrano is also very smart and sensitive. He is extremely well-behaved, quiet, calm, and obedient. He likes to please and hardly ever barks.
A home with a fully fenced yard is mandatory, as well as parents with a large heart as he will be their baby.
Cyrano is definitely one of the best pups in our program who is very loved.
Cyrano is 2 years old, 61 lb, fully vaccinated, neutered, and microchipped. He is heartworm negative, and kept on proheart 12 that covers his heartworm prevention for a year.
Sweet Cyrano is being fostered in Houston, but can be transported anywhere, as long as its the best home for him.
To be considered to adopt Cyrano, please send a completed application via www.savesomesouls.com
Yards MUST BE adequately and fully fenced to adopt our pups. We do not accept electric or underground fences.
Cy's adoption fee of $350 includes all vetting (DAPP with booster, Bordetella, Rabies vaccine, multiple broad spectrum deworming treatments, spay/neuter surgery and recovery, heartworm and flea prevention), a microchip with free lifetime registration, a high quality nylon Martingale collar, and harness. Transport fees out of Houston can range from $150 - $350 depending on destination.
Our dogs are fully assessed by foster parents, vets and behaviorists, as well as videos and video chats are available to observe their manners in public. We are extremely transparent and like to share everything negative and positive with the adopters, to ensure it's a good fit and they are not returned to us, as the trips are very stressful on them.
Houston is home to million strays, many who are abandoned, many born on the streets, many who escaped while living in the yard, which is common in Texas. Since our rescue does not get grants that shelters get, we use adoption fee to help the pups and kitties in our care. Your adoption fee goes towards vetting and feeding our long term and permanent fosters, and unadoptable pups, as well as towards the monthly care and preventatives etc of our pets. By adopting one pup from our rescue, you make room for another dog to be rescued our high kill shelter, thus becoming an integral part of our mission to save as many unfortunate dogs off the streets and shelters as possible. So Thank you for choosing to rescue, and not go to a breeder.
