This pint-sized pup is the definition of a "Velcro dog"—he loves his humans fiercely and wants to be touching or near you at all times. Whether you are working at a desk, sitting on the couch, or walking around the house, Louie will be right there by your side.

Flawless House Manners: He is already fully potty trained and happily sleeps all night long in his crate. He can occasionally have minor submissive peeing when he gets nervous or overly excited. A belly band works perfectly for this!

He can be a little wiggly when putting it on, but he has learned that a quick treat before being picked up makes it a breeze.

Perfect Travel Buddy: Louie absolutely loves car rides. If you visit dog-friendly shops, he is an absolute dream and behaves perfectly in public.

Social Butterfly: He loves playing with other dogs his size and is completely fine living with cats.
Smart & Eager to Please: Louie is incredibly easy to train! He comes running immediately when you call his name and prefers to keep you in sight while playing outside.

Gentle Nature: He is not food aggressive and has zero issues sharing space during meal times.

Building Trust with Men: Louie is currently not a fan of men and tends to be very standoffish around them (though he does not growl or bite). We suspect he may have had a rough past before coming into rescue. With a patient, gentle owner who understands small dog body language, Louie has the potential to build confidence and come around in his own time.
