Meet VERA!
***VERA is being fostered in Annapolis, MD now and is ready for a meet and greet with any potential adopter!***
She is ~9 lbs and estimated to be 13-14 weeks old as of April 26, 2026. In person, she is much smaller than how she looks in the photos! We think she’s a Chihuahua mixed with some sort of terrier and Lab. And yes - that's actually possible! Her estimated full-grown weight will be around 20-25ish pounds (best guess).
Vera has a LOT of personality. Her foster mom thinks she is the smartest of the litter (shhh don't tell the others) and points out that she is a stealthy little one!! She will lie back innocently and watch her siblings playing, and then strategically pounce on them when they least expect it! She's a real hoot!
Vera gets along great with children as well. She has loved running around the yard with a 5-year old girl and playing! She loves the hustle and bustle. Have a look at the video!
She's also with her siblings now as well as 5 other adult dogs and gets along great with all of them.
We know she’d be good with cats as well given her age. It's a great time to do introductions!
She is up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations and ready to find her forever home!
Please feel free to email us with any questions about her! See below for application info.

We strive for our dogs to be adopted into the right home. The best fit for the dog is our priority.
Please make sure you are ready to properly exercise and give a dog all it needs for fulfillment. Your ongoing time and day-to-day commitment are the most important things in caring for a dog.
In addition, we cannot guarantee breed of any dog, exact age or expected adult size of a puppy. Please note that even house-trained dogs will need help transitioning to an adopter's home and schedule. Thank you for understanding.
