Phoenix’s name could not be more fitting. She has truly risen from the ashes.

Phoenix was found abandoned in a kennel, severely emaciated and on the brink of death. When she arrived, she weighed just 40 pounds, and we honestly weren’t sure if she would survive. She was frightened, confused, and had no reason to trust the people around her.

But Phoenix proved just how strong she really is.

With a carefully managed refeeding plan, patience, kindness, and a whole lot of love, Phoenix began to heal. Today, she weighs 60 pounds, and the transformation has been nothing short of remarkable.

The once-fearful girl who didn’t trust anyone now gets excited to see you, welcomes your attention, and even gives kisses. She has learned that not every person will hurt her. Some people will help her, care for her, and love her.

Phoenix’s story is a testament to resilience. Someone failed her terribly, but she has not allowed that to define who she is.

Now, she deserves the part of her story we have all been hoping for: a loving home where she can feel safe, cherished, and truly wanted.

Phoenix survived what she should never have had to endure. Now it’s her turn to simply be loved.
