Runway was abandoned near the airport, which is how she got her name. Frightened and unsure of the world around her, she was so scared that we had to humanely trap her just to bring her to safety. It's hard to imagine what she experienced before that day, but it's easy to understand why she takes her time getting to know new people.

Runway is a thoughtful girl. She likes to assess the situation before deciding you're worthy of her hugs—and trust us, those hugs are worth the wait. Once she realizes you're kind and her heart is safe with you, she transforms into an affectionate, cuddly companion who simply wants to be close to her people.

She's also shown us that she takes her home and family seriously. Runway is naturally aware of her surroundings and will let you know when something doesn't seem quite right. She has the qualities of a loyal protector while still being the loving companion every family hopes for.

Runway isn't looking for perfection. She's looking for patience. Someone who understands that trust isn't always instant, especially for a dog who has every reason to be cautious. Give her a little time, and she'll give you something truly special—a bond built on trust, loyalty, and unconditional love.
