Meet Braveheart

Some dogs come to us with a story we know. Others come with a story we may never fully understand. Braveheart is one of those dogs.

He carries a physical reminder of his past on his left rear leg, but whatever he experienced, it has not taken away his ability to trust, love, and enjoy life.

When Braveheart first arrived, he was fearful and unsure of the people around him. But with patience, kindness, and time, we have watched an incredible transformation. Today, he is eager to greet you and happy to have your attention. It is a beautiful reminder of just how resilient dogs can be.

Braveheart is dog friendly, but he does have a dominant personality. Because of this, we believe he would be happiest as the only dog in the home, where he can enjoy all the attention and affection for himself.

What Braveheart deserves now is simple: a soft place to sleep, someone to love him, and a warm, safe home where he can finally feel secure.

We may never know where Braveheart started, but we have the opportunity to help decide where his story ends.
