This wonderful Border Collie is on the hunt for a forever home where he can be loved, cherished, and part of the family. Austin is a very friendly and intelligent boy who is eager to please and ready to show his new family what a special pup he is. He's also a great walking buddy—he walks nicely on leash and is ready to stroll by your side wherever the day takes you. And the best part? Austin gets along great with other dogs, so he'd be happy to have canine friends to share his new life with!

Your new pet will require a refresher in house-training. K-9 Lifesavers strongly recommends all new adopters enroll their new pet into obedience training. This provides for an easier transition into a new home, ensures the dog remains well socialized, and helps form a bond between the dog and the new family.

Adoption fees cover basic vetting, spay/neuter surgery (at partner vet if not fixed before adoption), rabies, distemper/parvo vaccinations, treatment for worms, heartworm testing, monthly heartworm prevention and monthly flea/tick prevention (while the animal is in our care), and transport costs from high-kill shelter. Please note that on average, K-9 Lifesavers spend significantly more on each dog than their adoption fee. Adoption fee for HW positive dog also covers heartworm treatment at our partner vets.

Foster Program: Foster homes provide for the temporary care of a rescue until the dog is placed into a loving, forever home.
