Deliah is a sweet, cuddly sweetheart who wants nothing more than love and affection. His story didn’t start the way it should have…he was rescued by Sunnyside Street Dogs Rescue from a large hoarding situation where she was kept outside in a crate without a proper bottom, left in the woods/backyard. Despite that rough beginning, Deliah still has her fun curiosity and loving spirit. 💛 Now safe and finally learning what it means to be cared for, she’s soaking up all play, comfort and attention she can get.

This petite lil hound has her heart always set on giving and receiving love; she's all about the pets!.....anykind, anytime and even anywhere. She'll be by your side ready to receive the pets, love, and fun interactions at any given time; she's an awesome partner in life, always ready to go. Wanna spread some happiness make new friends?.........bring extroverted Deliah with you to the park or coffee shop patio and you'll see lots of smiles and joy. Her cute tail rarely stops wiggling :-).

Deliah adores being close to people, especially her people whether that’s curling up for snuggles, climbing on your lap, or quietly following you around the house. She’s learning that the world is a safe place now and is blossoming more each day with patience and reassurance. The veterinarian estimated her to be around 7 but she certainly acts younger so us at the rescue estimate her to be around 4.

She will thrive in a home that can continue showing her kindness, stability, and love…. someone who understands that while her past wasn’t easy, her future is bright. Deliah doesn’t ask for much… just a soft place to land, a family to call her own, and someone/people to love on who'll give her love the way she’s always deserved.

*We coordinate with multiple transport services that operate weekly to Eastern states and bi-weekly or monthly to Western states from Texas to your state or a neighboring state. These are ground transports using third party vehicles (vans/buses) converted for dog transport. Each adopter has the ability to track the van using the app Life360, and receives updates from transport along the way. Facebook chats are another resource to stay informed on tracking dogs on transport. Please be able to use one of these available services if you wish to follow your adopted dog on transport.

*Our adoption fees are based on the vetting we put into each dog. Fees for puppies (under 12 months) are higher because they require more vetting than dogs over 1 year.

*Listed breed and age are based on a best guess estimation by rescue and veterinary staff; DNA tests are not included in adoption.

*Our adopters are eligible to receive 50% off training with Curbed Behaviors Dog Training for programs booked within 30 days of adoption, and 25% off programs booked within 60-90 days of adoption.

*All of our adopters are invited to join our “Alum Pupdates” Facebook group, to share their story and their adorable pup with fellow Sunnyside Street Dogs adopters!

The Bluetick Coonhound is a distinctive and versatile dog breed known for its striking blue and white speckled coat. These highly energetic and intelligent hounds are excellent hunters with a keen sense of smell and a distinctive bay when tracking game. Bluetick Coonhounds are loyal and affectionate family pets with a friendly and sociable nature, and they thrive in active households where they have plenty of opportunities to exercise and explore their surroundings.
