Celia's journey almost ended before it truly began. She and her siblings were saved from the euthanasia list just in time, giving this sweet girl a second chance at the life she deserves.

Celia can be a little shy when meeting new people. The world hasnt always shown her kindness, so she sometimes keeps her guard up while she figures out who she can trust. But once she realizes shes safe, her gentle and loving personality starts to shine.

This beautiful girl is learning that human hands can bring comfort, belly rubs, treats, and love. Every day she grows a little braver and a little more confident. With patience, understanding, and a family willing to let her move at her own pace, Celia is sure to blossom into an amazing companion.

*We coordinate with multiple transport services that operate weekly to Eastern states and bi-weekly or monthly to Western states from Texas to your state or a neighboring state. These are ground transports using third party vehicles (vans/buses) converted for dog transport. Each adopter has the ability to track the van using the app Life360, and receives updates from transport along the way. Facebook chats are another resource to stay informed on tracking dogs on transport. Please be able to use one of these available services if you wish to follow your adopted dog on transport.

*Our adoption fees are based on the vetting we put into each dog. Fees for puppies (under 12 months) are higher because they require more vetting than dogs over 1 year.

*Listed breed is based on a best guess estimation by rescue and veterinary staff; DNA tests are not included in adoption.

*Our adopters are eligible to receive 50% off training with Curbed Behaviors Dog Training for programs booked within 30 days of adoption, and 25% off programs booked within 60-90 days of adoption.

*All of our adopters are invited to join our Alum Pupdates Facebook group, to share their story and their adorable pup with fellow Sunnyside Street Dogs adopters!
