Bear is a 2-year-old, 52 lb mixed breed with soulful eyes and a heart thats just starting to shine through. Our best guess? Hes likely a Black Mouth Cur / hound mix known for their loyalty, intelligence, and strong bond with their people.
When Bear first arrived, the world felt like a pretty overwhelming place. He was scared, unsure, and kept his distance while he tried to make sense of everything. But with a little time, patience, and kindness Bear has started to bloom.
These days? Hell walk right up and gently lick your hand his quiet way of saying, I think I trust you. And once youve earned that trust, its something really special.
Volunteers have seen a big change in him already. Hes easy on leash, friendly, and growing more confident by the day. The nervous boy from last week is quickly turning into a dog who wants to connect he just needs someone willing to go at his pace.
Bear is still figuring out how to be a dog in some ways toys are a bit of a mystery right now but that just means his future family gets the joy of helping him discover all the fun things hes been missing.
