Meet Remy. Some dogs are complicated. Remy is not.
Remy has looked at life, considered all the available options, and chosen a simple philosophy: What if I just loved everybody? Honestly, the results have been extraordinary.
Remy is a 2-year-old Miniature Pinscher/Chiweenie mix weighing 14 pounds, roughly the size of a carry-on suitcase filled entirely with friendship. Dogs? Loves them. Cats? Loves them. Kids? Loves them. You? Statistically speaking, he's probably already working on it. If kindness were an Olympic sport, Remy would be standing on the podium wondering if everyone else got enough snacks. He is the kind of dog who makes you suspicious that he secretly knows something the rest of us don't. Maybe he's solved happiness and simply isn't being annoying about it.
He's affectionate without being demanding, playful without being chaotic, and charming without ever trying. Some dogs spend years building a reputation; Remy woke up one morning and accidentally became everybody's favorite. In fact, "good boy" almost feels inadequate. Calling Remy a good boy is like calling the Grand Canyon "a pretty decent hole." Technically correct, but wildly underselling the situation.
This little guy is pure love wrapped in fur: a professional cuddle enthusiast, certified best friend, and the kind of dog who turns ordinary afternoons into better afternoons simply by existing nearby. While he only weighs 14 pounds, his emotional-support capabilities are approximately the size of a small moon.
Somewhere out there is a family wondering when they'll finally find the perfect dog. Meanwhile, Remy is wondering when his family will find him. Hopefully very soon. He's got a lot of love backed up and ready for distribution.

Please note: Information to determine if you might be a match for one of our animals can only be found on our application.
*An inquiry, questions or introduction through Petfinder is NOT an application*
All known details about our animals are posted on their profile and updated daily. Other info will be discussed in detail with the foster during the application review process. Due to the high volume of introductions/questions received we ask you to submit an application (that application can be used for any dog with Take Paws Rescue).
The adoption fee for adult dogs covers age appropriate vaccinations, microchip, spay/neuter if not yet performed, heartworm test & appropriate heartworm treatment by the rescue's vet. All dogs in our care are also kept up-to-date on HW/Flea Prevention.
For more on this, or for additional information, including the adoption process and our adoption fee scale for all our adoptable pets (including an explanation about Benefactor Dogs), please see our FAQs page:
