Charlotte - A great hiking partner - Black Labrador Retriever Dog for Adoption in Andover, Massachusetts

This dog is currently out of state but will be transported to New England shortly with no additional travel costs. The long distance adoption process includes talking to the foster they are living with in the south. Roughly 90% of our dogs are successfully long distance adopted and 10% adopted locally.

Meet Charlotte - a 1 yr/8 month old (as of 6/26/26) Black Lab mix gal who weighs 40 pounds at the time of this posting on 6/4/25.

This poor girl was living in bushes at a state park with her brother. She is very friendly, energetic and playful. She is a little ball of fire ready to go! She would be great with a person/family that does a lot of hiking or is a runner - as she loves a lot of exercise.

She would make a great companion for any outdoor activities. She is good with other dogs but does prefer to the be the one to structure the play. She doesn't have a mean bone in her body - just prefers to be the teacher than the student with other pups :).

We haven't seen her around kids in rescue but she is so friendly we are guessing she will be just fine. She is a great gal with a wonderful personality who is ready and deserving of a family to love her forever!

All dogs are up to date on vaccinations and spayed/neutered at the time of adoption. All dogs require professional training to become the best family member they can be.

The dog may have some genetic material of an American Staffordshire Terrier (pit bull). The dogs are usually mixes of many breeds, making them a breed all their own - a True and adorable American MUTT. If you are interested in this dog, you must submit an application.
