Black Labrador Retriever and Brittany Spaniel Dogs Available for Adoption in Jamestown, North Dakota

Lewis is a male Black Labrador Retriever / Brittany Spaniel mix who was born 11/5/2025 and came into the rescue with his brother Clark. They were the last two in a large litter of pups that the family wasn't able to find homes for. Prairie Paws encouraged the family to get mom Spayed so there aren't anymore litters of unwanted pups.
When Lewis and his brother arrived, they were underweight ( 28 pounds). The foster family is feeding them good quality dog food mixed with canned food 3 times a day to put some weight on them. You can see the difference in just a short time.
At adult size, Lewis will be considered a LARGE breed dog, so adopters should be prepared for the size when full grown.
Lewis loves to be around his foster family. They both love to be right up against people and look for attention. They have been using a doggie door for bathroom breaks.
All medical work is completed prior to adoption including neuter shots worming flea treatment rabies shot kennel cough micro chip and vet examination.
The adoption fee is $200 + tax with an approved application. The pre-adoption application is available on the website www.prairiepawsrescue.com.
